League-leading Clear Springs erupted for 21 first-quarter points and never looked back in handing the Alvin Yellowjackets a 49-6 defeat in 24-6A football action Saturday afternoon at Veterans' Memorial Stadium in League City.

Todd Hudson led Springs with 120 yards on the ground and a pair of touchdowns. James Smith scored the lone TD for the Jackets on a 52-yard sprint to the end zone with 10:23 left in the contest.
